2012 new year is here and i saw many videos and photos of people pounding mochi. so being japanese and the way that i am, i want to do it too. but i don't have a clue on where to start.
started to google how to pound mochi and found a bunch of images and video. if anyone knows how to make and pound mochi, please help. this is what i got so far. from the web.

Becasue i will probably only do this once, i want to document and make an awesome video for youtube. if anyone wants to help out contact me. http://bradyoshiro.com

    Materials:
    1. Usu - stone bowl for pounding
    2. Kine - mochi mallet
    3. Uru - steam box
    4. Bowl of water (Hot and Cold)

    Ingredients

    1. Glutinous sweet rice
    2. Potato or rice starch
    3. Azuki Beans
    Preperations
    1. In a food processor or spice grinder, coarsely process the glutinous sweet rice. Soak the rice in a large bowl of water for an 3 hours + overnight is best, then arrange the drained rice on a steamer insert fitted with muslin or cheese cloth.
    2. Steam the rice for don't know how long? just cook em.
    3. Pound em until turns into mochi. LOL
    4. Roll mochi in potato or rice starch over your work surface. make little balls of mochi and ready to go.

I am all about people and relationships. I'm into everything and anything but, the main 3 would be, photography, surfing and technology

My passion for photography has taken me around the world experiencing many different cultures and people. As a direct result of being in contact with many different people, I've developed an easy-going, free-flowng and professional style while I work.

Shooting over 10 years working in the surf industry, I have ventured into the wedding photography scene. I am self taught and have a graphic design background. I have also been a part of sales and marketing teams and work with Apple computers. I speak japanese (日本語) if that counts for anything.

I love traveling, surfing, computer geeking, family and GOD are things that I enjoy and are high priorities in life.
